Did you come to my page just to bash me? You must have a lot of time on your hands. Besides, my user page hasn't been updated in a long time. Over the year, I've heard many new bands and actual artists to be topped on my favorites list and Sum 41 is no longer one of them. -.-
I didn't go there just to bash you. I saw you were an AFI fan so I decided to check you out and then I saw Sum41 in your list and couldn't help but say something. Because you see, I am a diehard AFI fan. I have 4 of their albums, and I loved them long before anybody on MTV ever heard of them. So many people only like Sing the Sorrow (or even worse, Girl's not Grey) and then claim to be AFI fans. So when you see people with bands like "AFI, The Cure, Sex Pistols, Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Thursday, Rancid, The Distillers" listed, you can assume they are the ones who liked them before MTV got to them. You can assume these are the ones who actually understand what Davey Havok is saying.
But when they have a list like "AFI, Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Sum41, Avril Lavigne, Limp Bizkit", you can assume that they are the teenybopper AFI fans. The ones we diehard fans hate. They don't understand Davey's message. How can they? Davey Havok is a punk rocker who grew up on REAL punk music, like the Misfits etc, and also on Goth Rock, the actual genre, bands like Joy Division and Bauhaus etc. So here you have this little goth kid getting listened to by.....Good Charlotte fans? What in god's name happened? Our world was never meant to be enjoyed by people from their world. Their world condemns us. Their world makes us shoot up schools. And now they want a piece of ours?
